Over 1.3 million Ohioans are without health insurance. Nearly 13% of our children are uninsured. It is an embarrassment that in a nation that has the most advanced health care system in the world, many go without basic health care. Additionally, prescription drugs are more expensive in the United States than anywhere else in the world. Many of our senior citizens live on fixed incomes and often must choose between eating or paying for medications. This must change. I will support efforts to ensure that all Ohioans have access to health care insurance and prescription drugs that are affordable.
